Climate change and biodiversity loss are among the most pressing problems facing humanity today. The Master of Science in Environmental Practice (MScEP) will give you the skills and knowledge to prepare you for the rapidly growing range of environmental careers emerging to address those and a host of other urgent environmental problems.
Fully online, the MScEP, is a flexible program that you can complete at your own pace, and focus on your own interests and normally takes from 2-4 years depending on the number of courses you take in each session. The program is designed to accommodate the schedules of working professionals and those in remote communities or whose situation may not allow you to come to campus.
This cutting edge program is for people who wish to advance their environmental careers or to transition from other areas into the burgeoning environmental field. In order to keep pace with the rapidly evolving environmental field in the US and globally, you may take up to three courses at the University of Denver and you can also take the new Graduate Certificate in Science and Policy of Climate Change as part of your program.
This program and the Master of Arts in Environmental Practice are developed in partnership with ECO Canada (Environmental Careers Organization of Canada) and address the academic and knowledge requirements of the National Occupational Standards and Environmental Professional (EP) certification.
